SERIES 550
Rolling Steel Series 550 Fire Rated Counter Shutter
The Janus International 550 Series Fire Rated Counter Shutter provides U.L.-rated fire protection in a cost-effective, space-saving design. Built to the highest standards, it features user-friendly operation and a fail-safe system activated by fusible links, smoke detectors, or connection to a central alarm system. Ideal for pharmacies, cafeterias, concession areas, ticket counters, hospital desks, and other fire-rated wall applications.

- Five finish options: white, gray, tan topcoat, galvanized, and stainless steel (22-gauge #4 finish)
OPTIONS
- Fire rating: 3/4 hour and 1-1/2 hour.
- Sizes: Up to 12'-0" wide x 8'-0" high.
- Operation: Push-up, hand crank and motor operation available on all sizes.
- Weather seal: U.L. rated jamb brush seal and flame baffle.
- Powder coating: Available on all gauges, flat or curved; consult factory for colors.

Inspection and compliance
Fire Doors Only Work If They Work Every Time
A rolling fire door can sit open for years before it is needed. Annual inspection and drop testing are what keep it ready.
- At minimum, annual inspection and drop testing by a trained, certified fire door assembly technician
- Keep the opening clear: never block, prop open or store materials under a fire door
- Repairs with manufacturer parts, and a drop test after every repair or approved modification
- Janus offers fire door training for dealers and customers, including hands-on drop-test training
Follow NFPA 80 and your Authority Having Jurisdiction for inspection and testing requirements.
