Setting Up Your Storage Smart Entry Mobile App

The Storage Smart Entry mobile app by Nokē makes accessing your storage unit quick and effortless. Follow these steps to download, set up, and use the app for seamless entry to your unit.


Step 1: Download the Mobile App

Download the Storage Smart Entry mobile app from:

  • Apple App Store (iOS)
  • Google Play Store (Android)

Search for "Storage Smart Entry" and install the app.


Step 2: First Steps for New Tenants

  1. Receive an Automated Text Message
    • After renting your unit, you'll receive a text message with a download link.
  2. Download and Log In
    • Click the link to download the app and open it.
    • Log in using your phone number as your username and the 6-digit PIN (activation code) from the text as your temporary password.
  3. Create a New Password
    • Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to set a new password.
  4. Enable Bluetooth & Location Services
    • Tap 'OK' twice when prompted to allow Bluetooth and Location Services access.

Note: Bluetooth must be turned on in your phone’s settings, and you must grant location permissions for the app to function properly.


Step 3: Accessing Your Storage Unit

  1. Open the Storage Smart Entry mobile app.
  2. Tap the LED light on the Nokē smart lock to “wake” it up.
  3. Once the lock is active, the unit icon in your app will highlight.
  4. Tap the highlighted icon to unlock the door.
  5. Slide the hasp open and lift the door.

Step 4: Sharing Your Digital Key

Want to allow someone else access to your unit? You can share a digital key with a trusted friend or family member.

  1. Tap 'Share Access' in the top-right corner of the app.
  2. Enter the recipient’s phone number, then click 'Next'.
  3. Select the unit to share, then click 'Next'.
  4. Choose a time limit from the pop-up menu.
  5. Click 'Yes'.

The recipient will receive a text message with a link to download the app and use their digital key.


Tips & Tricks for First-Time Users

Checking Other Settings

Bluetooth must be enabled in your phone’s settings:

  • iPhone Users: Enable Bluetooth in Settings > Bluetooth or scroll to the Storage Smart Entry app in Settings and toggle Bluetooth on.
  • Android Users: Enable Location Services in Settings.

Elevator Access:

  • If using an elevator, tap the elevator icon in the app before selecting your floor.

No Cell Signal?

  • Connect to the facility’s WiFi or authenticate the app before losing signal.
  • Once authenticated, you can still access your unit even without a signal.

Forgot Your Password?

  • Tap 'Reset Password' on the login screen to create a new one.

Troubleshooting

If something isn’t working, try these steps:

  • Update the App: Check for the latest version in the App Store or Google Play.
  • Log Out & Back In: This can refresh your session.
  • Restart Bluetooth: Turn Bluetooth off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart Your Phone: A fresh reboot can resolve many issues.
