Learn how to use the People On Site widget to track tenant activity at your facility, including real-time status updates and automatic removal rules based on exit detection and inactivity.
Understanding the People On Site Widget
The updated Facilities page features five dashboard widgets that provide quick insight into activity at each of your facilities:
-
People On Site
-
Entry Alerts
-
Delinquencies
-
Open Units
-
Voltage Alerts
This article focuses specifically on the People On Site widget.
Accessing the My Facilities Page
To view the People On Site widget:
-
Log in to the Nokē web portal using your credentials.
-
From the left-hand navigation menu, select Facilities.
-
Click on the My Facilities tab to view your favorited or bookmarked locations.
The My Facilities page displays a widget overview for each facility, giving you a real-time snapshot of current activity.
Using the People On Site Widget
Clicking on the People On Site widget opens a pop-up with more details about tenants who are currently on site.
Design preview — final UI may vary slightly upon release.
This pop-up is divided into two sections:
On Site Alert
This section shows tenants who entered the facility but have not exited in over 1.5 hours. These tenants may require further attention or a quick check-in to ensure everything is okay.
People On Site
This section displays tenants who have been on-site for less than 1.5 hours. Their presence is considered normal, based on average tenant behavior.
For each tenant listed, you’ll see:
-
The name of the entry point they used
-
The type of entry point (e.g., gate or door)
-
How long they’ve been on-site, based on their most recent entry
Note: This pop-up is view-only and is not clickable.
Automatic Removal Rules
The system uses built-in logic to automatically remove users from the People On Site list based on activity:
-
Exit Detection: Users are removed once they exit through a designated Nokē Smart Entry exit point.
-
Inactivity Timeout:
-
If the tenant has a Nokē Smart Lock, they are removed after 1 hour of inactivity.
-
If the tenant does not have a Nokē Smart Lock, they are removed after 2 hours.
-
-
End-of-Day Reset: All users are automatically removed at midnight, assuming the facility is closed and empty.
Important: The manual “Remove from Facility” feature has been retired.
If a tenant leaves without using a tracked method (such as tailgating or exiting through an open gate), they will remain listed until the system removes them based on the first applicable automatic rule.
