Understanding the Activity Tab
An Overview of the Activity Tab in the Web Portal and the information that is displayed there
The Activity Page in the Nokē Smart Entry (NSE) Web Portal provides a detailed log of all activities occurring at your facility, such as locks, unlocks, and failed unlock attempts. By default, the tab displays activities from the past 24 hours, with multiple filters and features to customize your view.
By leveraging the Activity Tab’s features, you can efficiently monitor, filter, and manage facility activity logs to maintain a secure and well-organized operation.
Activity Filters

Filters help refine the data displayed in the Activity Tab. Here are the available filters:
Filter by Activity Type
Customize the activities you see by selecting from various options like:
- Locked: A smart unit was locked.
- Access: A unit or entry point was unlocked or opened via:
- Phone: Using the tenant's mobile app.
- Fob: With an assigned fob.
- Access Code: Entered via keypad.
- Hold Open: Hold Open initiated from web portal, app, or via Repeating Schedule.
- Failed Attempt: Includes attempts that failed due to:
- Invalid Access Code: Incorrect code entered.
- Overlocked: Attempted access while in Overlocked status.
- Invalid Key: Digital key does not match expected value.
- Suspicious:
- Unlocked Manually: Lock was disengaged manually from inside the unit, rather than through the app. The activity log will display either Unlocked Manually or Forced Entry, depending on the device's firmware version.
- Failed Unlock - Out of Schedule: Access attempted outside facility hours.
- Failed Unlock - Out of Zone: Access attempted outside of assigned zone.
- Motion - Motion activity and alerts, if available at the facility
- Other: Operational facility activity such as tenant move in/outs and settings updates:
- User Moved Out: Synced from the Facility Management System, indicates a tenant has moved out of their assigned unit.
- User Moved In: Synced from the Facility Management System, indicates a tenant has moved in to a unit.
- Zone Was Edited: A Zone was edited, such as updating the name or assigned entries/units.
- Roles Were Edited: A Role was edited, permissions added or removed.
Filter by Date

Adjust the timeframe for activity logs using options like Last 24 hours, Last Week, Last Month, Last 3 Months, Last Year or enter a Custom Date Range. Note: Customer Support assistance is required to get Activity logs past 1 year.
Filter by Unit(s)

Choose specific units to filter their activity records. You may select a single unit, or multiple.
Filter by User(s)

Focus on activities performed by specific users. You may select a single user, or multiple.
Filter by Entry Point(s)

Refine the logs by selecting entries of interest. You may select a single entry, or multiple.
Filter by Role(s)

Filter activities by specific Roles.
Activity Table
The table organizes activity logs into the following columns:
- User: Displays the name of the user who performed the action.
- Description: Describes the activity (e.g., Unlocked By Phone, Failed Unlock - Overlocked).
- Device: Shows the name of the device (unit or entry point) where the action occurred.
- Role: Shows the role of the user related to the activity.
- Activity Type: Lists the type of action performed (e.g., Access, Failed Attempt).
- Date/Time: Indicates the date and time of the action.
Icon Colors
Each row features a color-coded icon for quick identification:
- Green: Locked actions.
- Red: Failed attempts.
- Blue: Access actions.
- Gray: Other actions.
- Orange: Suspicious actions.
Exporting Activity Logs
You can export activity data using the Export Activity Icon (downward arrow) in the top-right corner, depending on your permissions. Exports can be generated in:
- PDF Format: Downloads directly to your computer.

CSV Format: Sent via email.
Steps for Exporting:
- Click the Export Activity Icon.
- Choose the desired format (PDF or CSV).
- If you don’t receive the email, check your spam folder.
