Exporting Data in the New UI

Learn how to export data in the updated web portal, including where to find the export icon, choosing CSV or PDF formats, and how filters affect your download.

Overview

In the updated Smart Entry web portal, exporting data is simpler and more consistent across pages. This article explains where to find the export tools, what formats are available, and how filters affect the results you download.


Finding the Download/Export Icon

On pages that support data exports, you’ll see a download icon in the top-right corner of the table or results list.

  • The icon looks like a downward arrow or download symbol.


Available Formats

You can export data in:

  • .CSV format – Best for working with the data in Excel, Google Sheets, or other spreadsheet tools. This format preserves the data structure and allows you to sort, filter, and analyze information offline. This version is best for bigger exports and will be sent via email. 

  • PDF format – Best for saving a snapshot of your results for easy sharing or printing. The PDF will maintain the on-screen layout of your table or list.


How Filters Affect Your Export

When you apply filters before clicking the download icon:

  • Only the filtered results will be exported

  • Your downloaded file will match exactly what you see on the page

  • This is useful if you want to export activity from a specific user, date range, device, or event type without exporting the entire history

If you want all available data for that page, clear your filters before exporting.
