Rolling Steel Doors

General Description

  • Features an interlocking slat, commercial grade curtain
  • Opening sizes to 14’ wide x 14’ high (196 sq.ft.)
  • Chain hoist standard all sizes, Gliderol or H operators optional
  • Finish paint coat system in four colors  

 Bottom Bar

  • Extruded aluminum with mill finish
  • Will accept pneumatic or electrical safety edge
  • Tubular compression type rubber bottom astragal
  • Stainless steel flanged nuts and carriage head bolts

Curtain

  • 24-gauge galvanized steel interlocking roll-formed slats in curved (MD15) or flat (MD16) profiles
  • Slats are staked or windlocked to prevent lateral movement 
  • Bronze, tan, grey, orange, galvalume and white are standard finish coat colors  
  • Standard two-part paint system includes baked on epoxy primer with polyester finish coat over galvanized steel
  • 188 standard powder coat color options available from the Tiger Drylac palate
  • Flexible polyethylene wear strips on both guide surfaces protect curtain finish
  • Curtain is factory pre-installed to barrel

 

Axle/Torque Tube

  • Stress relieved, grease packed 20,000 cycle torsion springs mounted on steel shafts
  • Low friction, grease-packed steel ball bearings staked in each drum support barrel assembly
  • 12” O.D. spiral wound engineered barrel houses counterbalance assembly
  • Outstanding balance characteristics are the result of this uniquely engineered counterbalance system

Guides

  • Galvanized steel rollformed box type shapes
  • Flexible polyethylene wear strips on both guide surfaces protect curtain finish
  • Face of wall mounting to steel, gypsum, wood or masonry
  • Factory supplied jamb fasteners
  • Flared bellmouths ensure smooth curtain transition from coil to guide
  • Removable stops prevent curtain over-travel at header

Hardware

  • Bottom bar mounted zinc plated inside locking slide bolts - 2 per door; can be padlocked
  • Triangulated and gusseted galvanized steel mounting brackets
  • Unique tensioner system is externally accessible for full range of curtain balance adjustment
